Conversation recall answers a narrow question: what content appeared before? Enduring intelligence must answer much more. What was observed? What was believed? What remained uncertain? Which alternatives were considered? Why was a decision made? What happened afterward?

A continuous operating state preserves these relationships instead of flattening them into a searchable archive. Knowing includes truth, time, uncertainty, provenance, contradiction, confidence, and evidence. Deciding includes objectives, assumptions, alternatives, simulation, constraints, rationale, and action. Learning connects expected outcomes to actual consequences, revisions, lessons, and future behaviour.

This is memory of judgment, not just content. It lets a future contributor reconstruct how intelligence became what it is, challenge the reasoning that shaped it, and improve what happens next.
